This lariat style necklace is my personal favorite to wear and this one in particular is fabulous because it is wonderfully versatile. This mixed metal necklace is sterling silver and 14k rolled gold. It is 16 ½ inch necklace with a one inch drop (focal). The silver has been given patina and then the entire necklace was polished to a high shine.
The sterling silver tear drop focal measures one inch in length and 9mm in width. Traveling up from the focal you find a short handmade chain with a 14k gold filled round bead and some sterling silver round beads in various sizes. The rest of the necklace has various sizes and styles of sterling silver chain and 14k gold filled chain. As you reach the other end of the necklace are some more gold and silver round beads and a small hand formed and wrapped, gold and silver, lasso that is sized just right to capture the silver tear drop and hold it forever. Well, until you decide to take the necklace off."
